Grade 12 University Level French

This course draws on a variety of themes to promote extensive development of French-language skills. Now you will consolidate your oral skills as you discuss literature, culture and current issues using the Express 12 program.  Students will read a variety of texts to reinforce the use of correct grammar and appropriate language conventions in both spoken and written French. The students study a contemporary novel by Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt, which allows them to discuss the themes of childhood, illness, faith, and most importantly, love and friendship.

Grade 12 University Level French Advanced Placement

The Grade 12 AP French course is based on the same aspects as Gr 12 University French but will offer you more enrichment. You will communicate in French with many opportunities to speak in class in real-life scenarios. A greater variety of French resources are used such as: blogs, films, literary texts, magazines, news, newspapers, podcasts, songs, TV shows and websites. Topics that we will discuss are themes of: beauty and aesthetics, families and community, contemporary life, global challenges, personal and public identities and science & technology. At the end of the course, you have the option of writing the French AP exam, but you are not required to do so. Grade 12 AP French will definitely push your French to the next level and help you to become even more fluent!
