Grade 9 Exploring Canadian Geography (CGC1W)

This is a compulsory course in grade 9 that covers:

• Physical Landscape – what does Canada look like from coast to coast to coast?
• Canada’s Climate – what kind of weather trends do we see across Canada?
• Resources – what does our landscape allow us to have and how does this benefit us economically?
• Population – what does Canada’s population look like?  What are the needs of our population now and when looking ahead into the future?  What role does immigration play in Canada?
• Liveable Cities – what goes into designing our cities?
