The Waterloo Region District School Board(WRDSB) is pleased to encourage Grade 9 student participation on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 in Take Our Kids to Work 2021: The Day That Lasts A Lifetime!
Take Our Kids to Work day has a long history of being a successful activity for Grade 9 students in gaining real world experience in the workplace.
This year the WRDSB is supporting a virtual Take Our Kids to Work Day. While acknowledging that an in-person experience is preferable, the WRDSB is joining most school boards in ensuring the health and safety of our students during this time and providing access to a rich experience of workplace exposure through a virtual platform hosted by The Learning Partnership.
The Learning Partnership’s Take Our Kids to Work is an exciting, inspiring event to connect parents/caregivers and their Grade 9 students in a day full of fun and career exploration.
On Wednesday, November 3, 2021, Canada’s longest-running, highest-profile career exploration event is “going virtual” and offering many options including:
-
New, dynamic, inclusive and engaging content for students to participate virtually or in person
-
Opportunity to join other students, parents, educators and workplaces from across Canada in a cornerstone event and a series of live breakout sessions on specific topics, sectors and careers
-
Register for resources, planning guides, workshops and receive access to the cornerstone event and live breakout sessions
For Parents/Caregivers and Students: Exciting, inspiring virtual events connect parents and their Grade 9 students in a day full of fun and career exploration.
