After defeating defending champion Resurrection in the CWOSSA gold medal game last week, and Cameron Heights in the WCSSAA gold medal game two weeks ago, the Bluevale Knights will be heading into the OFSAA championship looking to continue their impressive play this year.
In the CWOSSA Championship, Bluevale won a come from behind match against the defending CWOSSA and OFSAA champions. After Rez took the lead Bluevale tied the match in the second half and then won this extremely exciting game in overtime. Both BCI goals were scored by Madison Baker.
In the WCSSAA Championship game, Bluevale defeated Cameron Heights 5-1, with goals going to Baker, Abby Beaton with two, Jordyn Faiczak and Paisley Steele. Throughout the season Madeline Waywell has provided impressive goal tending
Waterloo Region will be hosting the OFSAA Girls Field Hockey Championship this Thursday through Saturday at Woodside Park in Kitchener and RIM Park in Waterloo. Good luck Knights as continue your quest at OFSSA. We are very proud of you.
