Graduation Requirements

For secondary students working towards an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), requirements for graduation include:

  • Course credit accumulation
  • Community involvement hours
  • Secondary school literacy graduation requirement
  • Grade 10 financial literacy requirement
  • Online learning requirement

For Students Who Started Grade 9 in 2024 Onwards

The details of the graduation requirements have been updated by the Ministry of Education. This means that students who entered Grade 9 in 2024 and 2025 have different requirements than those who started Grade 9 in 2023 or before.
