Throughout April we are working to raise awareness about the importance of taking care of the Earth. We kicked off the month with global Earth Hour, at the end of March, by asking students to turn off lights and electronics for an hour at home. At school, staff and students worked to reduce electricity use throughout the day by using fewer lights in classes. During the month of April, we are focusing on a different Green Act each day. Check out the calendar to see what we have planned! At the end of April we will participate in a 20 Minute Makeover and clean up the school campus. We will also focus on getting outdoors to engage with nature in our school gardens, getting outdoors to play sports, walking/biking to school and creating less waste. Although our campaign focuses on Earth month, we encourage these activities all year round. Together we can make a difference!
