In the weeks just preceding the March Break, athletes from the Bluevale wrestling, swimming and Alpine ski teams had wonderful competitions against the best athletes in their sport in the province.  In Windsor, the Bluevale wrestlers who qualified for OFSAA competed with great enthusiasm and energy overcoming many personal challenges throughout the meet.  Congratulations to Coach Bender and wrestlers Nick Smith, Nick Forler and Abigail Persaud for demonstrating their Bluevale pride.

Also in Windsor, the Bluevale swim team had a wonderful competition with every swimmer swimming a Personal Best time culminating in the Sr Boys 4 x 50 Freestyle Relay of Mohammed AlMoallim, Luke Horst, Sam Laughlin and Kris Griffin winning a bronze medal.  Congratulations to Coaches Henkel and Palmer for another fantastic Bluevale swim season and the numerous Bluevale swimmers who performed admirably throughout the season.

Meanwhile, in Collingwood, the Alpine Ski team had a fantastic competition as well.  The Level 1 Boys team of Adam Robertson, Adam Snyder, Daniel Cuilei, and Noah Carr-Pries and Nate Wiersma finished in the Top 10 in the Giant Slalom competition.  In his last high school Alpine competition, Parker Lobban left an indelible mark on Bluevale Alpine skiing by  winning an OFSAA silver medal in the Level 2 Boys Giant Slalom!  Congratulations to all the skiers as well as Coaches Tuma and Lamb.  Good luck to all Bluevale athletes as we head into the spring season!
