This past Saturday, Clair Baleshta, Daniel Ciulei, Emily Pazuk, Tia Schmidt, Madeline Waywell, and Caroline Witzel were the latest Bluevale students to receive their Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award at Queen’s Park in Toronto hosted by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, The Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell.  The Silver Ceremony was presided over by Heather J. Forster Smith, the current Chief Justice of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.  Appointed in 2002, she is the first woman to be appointed to that bench.  Six of the 75 recipients from across the Province were Bluevale students.  As well as the students and their families, Bluevale was represented by teachers Lorie Guest and Jennifer Kemperman and by Principal, Mark Hunniford.  Congratulations to all of the recipients on a memorable day in Toronto.
