For the third time in the past six years Bluevale has won the Overall Team Cross Country Championship at WCSSAA.  Under beautiful skies and wonderful running conditions this past Friday at Bechtel Park, Bluevale won the Overall Team Championship without winning any of the subcategories, demonstrating the superb depth BCI displayed in each of the six subgroups.   Out of 16 teams competing, Bluevale placed second in midget girls, junior boys and senior boys; third in midget boys and senior girls; and fourth in junior girls.  At the end of the day it added up to a one point victory as Bluevale narrowly defeated a determined team from Cameron Heights.

Congratulations to the entire team, “Atky’s Army'” and special thanks to coaches:  Mr. Atkinson, Mr. Taylor, Mr. Kemperman and Ms. Babensee for volunteering their time to work with these wonderful athletes.  Good luck on Thursday at CWOSSA at Bechtel Park.  Hopefully Hurricane Patricia will have finished and not left the course too sloppy.
