Instructions on How to Apply to University
Applying to a University   Outside of Ontario
  • For some out-of-province universities—specifically Acadia, Bishop’s, UBC, Concordia, Dalhousie, McGill, Saint Mary’s, Simon Fraser, and University of Victoria—you can authorize these schools to collect your Ontario academic data from the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC).

    • You do this by entering your full, 11‑digit OUAC Reference Number on the university’s application form.

  • For all other Canadian universities, apply directly through each university’s own application portal. You—not OUAC—are responsible for ordering and sending your transcripts.
