Tomorrow evening, December 2nd, Bluevale Collegiate welcomes our Grade 8 students and their parents. Beginning at 7:00 pm in the BCI cafeteria, attendees will learn about Bluevale and the first transitions to high school. This brief introduction will be followed by small group guided tours of the school by our KRT (Knights of the Round Table) student council. The tours will stop at the elective areas of the school where students will learn about the elective choices they will have from teachers and Department Heads who teach those particular courses. Other stops include a session with our Guidance Head, Shawn Weatherdon, who will go over key areas of the application process. Another stop will be a combined session with the Department Heads of English, Math, Geography, French, Science and Special Education who will be able to informally answer any questions you may have about appropriate academic levels for students. The night finishes with an optional session in the cafeteria for those who wish to learn more about the Bluevale Choose 2 Lead and Pre AP Programs lead by Principal, Mark Hunniford. We welcome you to Bluevale Collegiate. Our colours are Burgundy and Sky Blue. If you own anything in these colours feel free to wear them to show your “soon to be” Bluevale pride.
