Hold and Secure Lifted at Bluevale

At 2:15 this afternoon the Hold and Secure was lifted at Bluevale.  Thanks to all staff and students for their patience and support through this difficult day.  Our primary concern is safety, and in conjunction with the WRPS, we did all within our power to keep our school community safe.  Thanks again to all.

What is the Difference between Hold and Secure and a Lockdown?

It has been mistaken a number of times today that Bluevale is in “Lockdown” when in fact we have been in a “Hold and Secure”.  There is a distinction, however, between a lockdown and a hold and secure.  No matter what, the key element in both is the safety of staff and students.  In a […]

Bluevale Continues in “Hold and Secure”

Bluevale remains in Hold and Secure. This is a police order, not a suggestion. This means that personnel in the Bluevale site must remain in the school, staff and students, and not leave until we are given the okay from the Waterloo Regional Police. What this means is that over lunch staff or students are […]

Balcony Closed to Spectators Until New Bleachers Installed

As part of a Health and Safety upgrade at Bluevale the balcony in the gymnasium is closed to spectators until the new bleachers are installed. For the girls basketball season and the boys volleyball season we are asking all spectators to view the games from courtside. While it may be crowded along the sidelines we will do our best to accommodate all spectators as comfortably as possible.
