Hope all of you are enjoyed a great break.  We look forward to an amazing year ahead!

 
At this time, Guidance staff are working on registering new students and ensuring all students have a full schedule as our first priority. All timetables have been carefully checked for balance and other concerns. Should you need to resolve an issue, please complete our COURSE CHANGE REQUEST FORM and then have lots of patience… changes are not always possible nor guaranteed and may take into the second week of school to resolve. We will take a look at the info in this form upon our return to school and do our best. ALL students should attend the classes they have in their schedule, as a change may not be possible. 
We will consider a course change for the following priorities:
  • a Grade 9 or 10 student with English, Math and Science all in ONE semester. We have checked all of our student timetables but may have missed someone. Please enter your name if you are in this scenario!
  • a Grade 11 or 12 student who has earned all of their Grade 9/10 credits and would like to drop a class for a spare. The spare will occur in the space where the class currently sits. All students must have a minimum of three courses each semesterPLEASE double check whether the class is a requirement for a future plan prior to asking to drop.
  • a student who has taken summer school and needs to update their timetable based on its results.
  • a student who hopes to make a pathway change and requires a change.
  • an issue in a timetable (error, missing class etc).
Please be aware that our classes are very full and, as well, that all courses are not available every period. Course changes may require lots of changes to a timetable where possible.
As always, we do our best to support our students, however, with full classes and limited time, our focus is on the students above who require a change.
Please read this form carefully and rely on it as communication with Guidance. If a change is possible, we will respond via WRDSB email upon our return from work, so please check often. (Grade 9 students coming from outside of WRDSB.. we will communicate with the email your caregivers provided).
Thank you for your patience!! Remember to check your email often. Your Guidance counsellor will be very busy with school start up and will address requests in this form in order… no need to email us. We will email you. SEPTEMBER 9th is the last day to enter info into the form.
PLEASE NOTE: Guidance appointments are on pause until all schedule changes are finalized. Appointments will be bookable online starting Monday, September 15th at the latest. Please email your Guidance counsellor if you have a time sensitive need.
