Last month, Bluevale’s grade 10, 11 and 12 German students participated in the 2015 OATG “Zungenbrecherwettbewerb” (a.k.a. Tongue Twister Contest).

Students were required to create a German Tongue Twister with original artwork, and after over 70 submissions, from more than a dozen Ontario High Schools were judged, Bluevale’s German Students won TWO Top $100 Awards!  Posters will be made of their work and distributed across Canada!

Emma Charters (grade 12) won for ‘Der Längste’ (the Longest) and

Emily Taylor (grade 11) won for ’Die Beste Geschichte’ (the Best Story).

As well, Alyssa Clutton (gr. 12), Tessa Whittle (gr.11), Georgio Kourvetaris (gr. 10) and Maverick Venter (gr. 10) will also receive prizes for their work that received Honourable Mentions!

Congratulations to all of these students and to their German teacher, Linda Jung!
